Yesterday I made a crystal essence with my rose quartz, will use it to spray around the house to
bless it with love.

The basic principle behind the use of gem essences is the interaction of water and sunlight with the essential energy of crystals charges the water in which crystals are placed with their subtle energy. When you drink this water, that energy works to dissolve the blockages which promote the persistence of painful emotions and prevent personal and spiritual growth.

29May13 - Four No-s of wearing crystal jewelries

Four No-s of wearing crystals

1.Overkill. If you are wearing a very big pendant or luxurious necklace, you should go simple on your crystal earrings. Just like if you are wearing a lot of crystal bracelets, you can choose a smaller pendant.

2.Wearing crystal on the ankles. Wearing crystals on the toes or ankles are pretty muc   redundant and not much effective

3.Too many rings. A big crystal ring should be wore alone. You can wear a few smaller ones, but they should be limited to middle to last finger.

4.Wearing day crystal jewelries for evening events. You should put on a different set of jewelries for evening or special events, something more details and extravaganza.

Previously we talked about the five elements, Fire, Earth, Water, Metal and Wood and how they
form a constructive cycle.

Today we will talk about what crystals represent each element and how they affect us.

Passionate love that will fly you to the moon.It is said if you give your lover a moonstone necklace when the moon is full you will always have passion with each other. Moonstone is a highly valued gemstone for these reasons:

Mini wealth pots (聚宝盆)  
 The inner cavity of the agate geodes are lined with a druze of sparkling clear crystals. Agate geodes are formed in volcanic lava which contain gas bubbles filled with water that slowly transform into quartz. Agate geodes are sometimes referred to as Wealth Basins or Wealth Bowls because they are believed to possess the ability to attract wealth energies.

Agate geodes are useful for protection and aid spiritual growth. Geodes are also used to assist in breaking addictions and are beneficial for an addictive or overindulgent personality.

29Mar13 - Salt Bath!

Today is such a fine (hot!) day so I decided to give my crystal bracelets a salt bath!

 Salt is really good for removing negative energies from most crystals. However, some crystals like Angelite and some marbles and pearls are sensitive to salt and their surfaces can be damaged very quickly in a salt bath. Other crystals or gemstones might absorb water so please make sure your crystals are safe for salt bath before trying it out!

Usually I will soak them in salt water for around 3-4 hours, preferably in the morning or early afternoon, when you can some sunlight. 

I uses the normal rock salt found in the supermarket, a few teaspoons stirred into spring/mineral water.

    See the little bubbles on the crystals surface!

Beside cleansing crystals in salt water, you can also put them under the morning to afternoon sun to recharge them. But some crystals are prone to color fade, such as
rose quartz, while others might crack when exposed to sunlight for too long, like citrine.

20Jan13 - Raining weekend

It has been raining for 2 days straight!
Luckily I don't have any errant to run so I am slacking in my bed hehee

Finally moved my crystal to my living room cai ren (wealth corner)

Not easy to squeeze in the stand with all the speakers! ( my dad's) Moved my little laughing buddha here too, facing the main door.

Shall slowly decorate with more auspicious things! ^^

A good and well spent weekend is about to end and a new one awaits!

16Jan13 - Obsidian

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when felsic lava extruded from a volcano, cools rapidly with minimum crystal growth. They look black at first glance, but they usually have shades of red, blue when shined under bright light.

It is known for its ability to absorb negative energy, and it is also called the stone of truth as
it helps one to feel more grounded, focused and clear in all practical matters. 

A common shaped obsidian will be the wu lou (gourd), as it is a powerful symbol of health, longevity and prosperity. Combined with the crystal, it amplifies its healing properties! woo hoo!

 Obsidian Wo lou are quite common. This one has an 'eye' or also known as rainbow obsidian

Obsidian chips and pyramid. Good for stagnant energy places like bathroom and toilet.

If you like to get a an obsidian bracelet, try to wear it on the right hand as they have the saying,
"Left hand in, right hand out". Meaning the left hand will absorb crystal's good. energy and wearing it on the right the crystal will absorb the body's bad energy.
So decide if you like adsorb the good energy or let out the bad.

Because the black obsidian draws in negative energy, be sure to cleanse it regularly with tap water or bask under the sun for a few hours , as well as take good care of its physical surroundings.
 Do not place the black obsidian on the floor or anywhere else where it can get neglected. 

It is always good to have obsidian around as it is cheap but powerful stone.

12Jan13 - My first crystal geode!

Finally found a nice crystal geode yesterday at Race Course Road! ^^

I have always be fascinated by them but it is not easy to find them here in Singapore. Especially smaller ones like the one I got.

It is around 25 cm height and 15 cm depth, weight about 10kg.

This is considered quite small compared to the ones they are selling, up to 1.5 meters !

According to the lady, the bigger ones are priced by weights while smaller ones like this
are priced differently. 

I got this a bit over my budget, but it is still cheaper compared to retail shops. ( and not a alot
of them too.) But if to calculate the price by its weights, it is still reasonable hehee (if you are interested can drop me a note)
