25Feb13 - Busy Busy!

It has been a crazy busy weeks for me!
Chinese New Year, new game launching, new projects etc etc

I hope this year will be a fulfilling and fruitful one!

Sometimes, or rather many times things and situations do not go according to our ways,
making us question ourselves and get lost in the way...

It is important to get the goals clear and right, the things that drive what you do.
And more important is enjoying the journey while getting to your goals.

Keep fighting!

12Feb13 - Trinity Coins

Chinese coins are a common item in the practice of Feng Shui, they are a symbol of wealth, especially tied in red thread or ribbon.
The circle represents the shape of heaven while the square represents the shape of earth. (天圆地方)
When used, they represent the engagement luck of "Heaven-Earth-Man".
There is the Yang side (with four chinese characters according to reign of emperor) and the Yin side (2 characters) on every chinese coins. The Yang side should always be used facing up.
The more common emperors are Kang Xin 康熙, Yong Zheng 雍正 and Chien Long 乾隆.

Nowadays real antique coins are very rare and expensive, hence most of them available now are new.

3 coins with red thread are so powerful that it can be considered to be equivalent to the presence of a Wealth God and its uses are not limited to:
1.Carry in your pocket, purse or wallet wherever you go to ensure you carry with you wealth energy that could create abundance for you.

2. Activate wealth by placing 3-coins tied with the mystic knot in the four corners of every room in your home and office. The mystic knot gives the coins added potency and sets up wealth vibrations through the foundations of your home or business premise.

3. To increase your business fortune, stick three of the coins tied with red thread on to all your important files, bank books, invoice books and order books, cheque books, in your cash boxes and safes, inside your pocketbook and any folder or item to do with your income.

4. You can also stick this potent wealth attractor on to your fax machines, cash register and computers to attract opportunities through these avenues. The yang side must always be up.

5. Hang three coins on the inside doorknob of your shop's main door. This symbolizes that prosperity has already entered your office. On the outside doorknob of your shop's main door, hang a pair of bells; this attracts good fortune chi to enter your office. The sound of bells
symbolically 'announces' imminent prosperity and good news. This 'coins and bells' tip is particularly effective for companies or establishments engaged in the trading, wholesale or retail business.

6. You may also tape 3-coins in southeast corner of your bedroom, workdesk, living room etc to activate your wealth corner.

Check out my facebook page, we are giving out a pair of trinity coins! :)

11Feb13 - The Taboos

what not to do on 2nd day of lunar new year

-Not to wash clothes. The water god birth date is on the first and second days of new year,
so it is advised not to wash clothes these two days

-Not to take afternoon nap.Else the whole year you will be lazy
( unless that's what you want! lol) Especially if you have visitors, it will be rude if you were sleeping

-Not to throw away dirty water, rubbish and sweep the floor. To prevent sweeping and throwing
away the luck in the house.

-Not to let anyway take stuff from your pockets. It symbolised wealth and luck being taken
away from you

-Not to ask for debt. It will be a whole year of bad luck if you were to ask someone for debt or if someone asked you.

Have a great Water Snake Year!

04Feb13 - Lap Chun

Lap Chun is the first day of spring in the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
The Chinese believe if a New Year is to start without spring, this will denote
a not so abundant year ahead. Without spring to herald in the year, there will a
be weaker growth, so we should be prepared for the tough times ahead.

It will  be a good idea to go to the temple and pray for good fortune, donate
a small amount or light a lamp.

One of the temples I visited at Macpherson!

The lamps are so pretty that I bought another pair after lighting one! :)

For those who have not visited a temple, tomorrow is still ok so try to visit one!
Pray with good intentions for your loved ones and yourself!

30Jan13 - Five Elements

The Wu Xing () or five elements, is used commonly in Fengshui
to explain alot of things, from our body to the universe.
The Five elements are
-Wood
-Fire
-Earth
-Metal
-Water

The constructive flow (xiangsheng 相生) of the elements are;
Wood feeds Fire,
Fire creates Earth (ash),
Earth bears Metal,
Metal condenses/contains Water
Water nourishes/grow Wood.

A basic diagram to explain the constructive flow of the elements.

So you need to increase on your water element, you can increase on metal so it will create more water. This is especially useful when you don't want or can't have water elements like
water features and the color blue in a particular place.

What colors and shapes are associated with each elements?
What is the destructive flow?

We will get to that soon :)
